This position has two primary roles
1. e-commerce product owner: You will hold the vision, provide daily management and lead the evolution of the web-based applications that support 1) consumer-facing enrollment where prospective customers can sign up online, 2) an authenticated online account experience (myAccount) where current customers can manage their account and 3) an internal-facing enrollment system used by our sales teams to enroll customers over the phone. These three different experiences are business critical and all part of the same custom-built application developed for us by an outside vendor. It will be your job to manage and evolve these products.
2. webmaster: You will be the primary administrator of our websites, you will manage site security, insure that our site is being properly indexed by search engines and will consult with the team on improving our appearance within search. You will also be responsible for our appearance on third party product exchanges and state-based sites that are common in our industry.
Key accountabilities & details
Â• Your primary responsibility will be to manage our e-commerce & enrollment applications, much of which will be done using a custom-built CMS tool. For example, maintain products & rates, user accounts, utility set-up and other functions exposed by the admin tool.
Â• Translate the general product vision into specific product features and implement long-term planning through regular road-mapping.
Â• Manage vendor relationships, identify platform enhancements and create business requirements that support new markets and functionality.
Â• Prioritize your work to align with the priorities of the entire organization.
Â• Provide support to projects outside of your direct accountability that intersect with our websites.
Â• Develop and manage test scripts as necessary for the release of new functionality, including regression testing.
Â• Work with teams to develop and lead training as necessary for both users and administrators.
Â• Inspect, accept, or reject completed work from each development cycle.
Â• Investigate refer/resolve bugs.
Â• Set up and manage the landing pages and product offers used in online campaigns.
Â• Set up & manage integrations with digital marketing partners using tools like Zappier & LeadConduit.
Â• Work with other team members to connect our online and offline campaigns to insure a consistent experience for our customers regardless of channel.
Â• Set up & manage online customer referral and broker programs.
Â• Work with our digital marketing team to connect HubSpot and other digital campaigns to the e-commerce experience.
Â• Manage content used in support of enrollment including emails, sales scripts, product descriptions and legal documents.Education and experience
Â• 3+ years of experience managing an ecommerce website, or a commercial site focused on conversion.
Â• 3+ years as web master or a role with similar responsibilities.
Â• 2+ years of relevant product management, product owner or business analyst experience.
Â• Experience with website CMS tools, either third-party or proprietary.
Â• Expertise with Google Search Console and experience with Google Analytics.
Â• Experience with HubSpot is a plus.
Â• Able to work independently and within a team.
Â• Excellent communication skills.
Â• You have a hands-on attitude, a strong commercial focus and the ability to prioritize accordingly.
