Application Support Specialist III, Santo Domingo

• Evaluating and prioritizing issues to determine which can be immediately resolved and which require escalation to appropriate IT team members.
• Create functional specifications on TFS for issues that require programming changes so they can be efficiently handle by our software development staff.
• Create technical documentation of issue fixes.
• Perform data cleanup and correction on production databases due to failed ETL processes.
• Handle critical operational tasks as well as on demand requests.
• Identify and provide permanent resolution for recurring issues and problem trends.
• Provide daily reporting to the management of SQL processes success/failure status.• Bachelors degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and/or related, or equivalent work experience.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL Server 2014/2016 Support and development including ETL.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English).
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate them clearly to individuals with varied backgrounds and skill levels.
• Advanced knowledge of T-SQL including very complex SQL queries (ex: using various joins and sub-queries) and best practices.
• Experience developing and supporting SSIS packages.
• Previous experience working with advanced query design, stored procedures, views and functions.
• Experience on windows server OS, Active Directory and PowerShell.
• Ability to work as a team player. – Ingeniería Sistemas
